The Association of Missouri Interpreters (AMI) is dedicated to keeping interpretation alive in Missouri. Here are just a few ways AMI recognizes and supports local interpreters:
AMI recognizes outstanding interpreters in the state of Missouri. AMI annually awards outstanding interpretation in Missouri. Winners are recognized at the annual AMI Conference.
AMI supports the future of interpretation. Each year, the organization awards George Kastler Interpreter Scholarships to one undergraduate and one graduate student who plan on entering the interpretive field. Scholarship applicants must be a Missouri resident or enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education in the state of Missouri. Recipients are recognized at the annual AMI Conference.
Award nomination and grant application forms can be found under the “Members Only” tab.
